Claire-Ann is a patient focused, goal driven physiotherapist who prides herself on delivering the best care for her patients.
Claire-Ann completed her Physiotherapy degree at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. She has worked in many settings including extensively throughout NHS Scotland, in varying roles in Australia and working within the demands of competitive sport,working with both the soccer and rugby community. She has had many roles within the NHS, her main area of practice being that of musculoskeletal (MSK) outpatients.
Claire-Ann has extensive experience in the treatment of MSK conditions in all areas of the body including; back, neck, thoracic outlet, shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, wrist and ankle conditions. She particularly enjoys group rehabilitation classes having led lower limb injury classes and back pain rehabilitation classes.
Claire-Ann has worked overseas in Australia in the Royal Women and Brisbane Hospital and has a broad general medical background also. She has in-depth knowledge in Stroke, Orthopaedics, Surgical care, Medical, Care of the Elderly, ensuring Claire-Ann has a strong understanding in addressing all of her patients’ needs, thereby optimising their recovery.
In addition, Claire-Ann has a sports physiotherapy background, having worked as a physiotherapist for the West of Scotland Football club in Glasgow. She has ample first aid experience and has first-hand acute injury care, injury prevention, diagnosis and treatment skills.
Her commitment to post graduate advancement has led her to completion of Advanced Level 3 Pilates programmes, post-graduate Orthopaedic Medicine training and she has enjoyed her contribution to the future of the profession when working as a clinical educator of physiotherapy students.
Claire-Ann has experience in delivering group based physiotherapy in many platforms, most recently adapting her in house skills to delivery of online programmes during the pandemic restrictions.
Claire-Ann works collaboratively with her patients to identify goals that are meaningful to them and is passionate about providing an evidence based treatment programme, in order to help these patients succeed and achieve their goals.
